Nancy Battista Morgan

About Nancy

Nancy Morgan is an author and educator. She spent a portion of her youth in Athens, Greece, where she learned Greek and French. She later learned Italian and Spanish through studies and travel in Europe and Mexico. Her interest in language and culture led her to pursue masters’ degrees in Teaching English as a Second Language and in International Relations. Her professional career includes teaching English, producing educational videos, developing curricula for teachers and students, and ghostwriting for syndicated comic strips. She is currently an adjunct professor at DePaul University in Chicago.

Alongside this work, Nancy has dabbled in writing fiction since her teen years. “Examining language and how people use it has been a driving force in my life. Words--what they represent, how they look on a page, the rhythms they create together--are fascinating;  but  it is the unsaid between us that compels me to write."

Morgan recently completed a novel that centers on a family trying to resolve the conflicts of the past. She is a member of the Off Campus Writers' Workshop in Winnetka, Illinois.
